The subject of this work is blankness, emptiness and vacuity. Mainly, the physical concept of vibration of void or dark energy, which holds that countless particles are created and destroyed by quantum fluctuations in absolute void, and the idea of trace or phantom as remainder of things that were present and are not there any more.
This is a generative application that shows the vanishing paths of many particles as they flow over the landscape of pictures of empty spaces. It pushes further the exploration on automated drawing using a swarm of autonomous agents initiated by Dreamlines.
Instructions for use: move the mouse pointer around to influence the behavior of the particles. Click and drag to relocate the particles and ‘paint’ with them. Press the spacebar to pause the action. Or just lean back and watch the system develop on its own.
